Parkside Inn Motel & Conference Centre

“I stayed here for a few days after moving out of my student dormitory at La Trobe University due to the end of my accommodation contract. Based on the Standard Single Room, I would like to provide the following objective and neutral evaluation: 1. Room atmosphere – 4/5: The overall atmosphere of the room is quite pleasant. The interior is similar to an average motel, and compared to my university dorm room, I even felt that the room was relatively spacious. 2. Facilities and amenities – 4/5: The room has a decent range of equipment and items. It includes basic kitchenware, a microwave, a toaster, and other essentials. Although these items appear to be second-hand and may not look aesthetically pleasing, they function well enough. A small amount of toiletries and towels were also provided. While not abundant, the hygiene of the toiletries was generally acceptable. 3. Bed – 4/5: The Standard Single Room had one large bed and one smaller bed. I slept on the bed and found it quite comfortable. I did not notice any unpleasant smells or hygiene issues from the mattress, blanket, or pillows. 4. Bathroom – 3/5: Overall, it worked fine. The toilet flushed properly and the shower had hot water without issues. However, the shower head was fixed, which made it slightly inconvenient to use, and I noticed some dark stains and mould between the tiles, which was visually unpleasant. Apart from that, there were no major problems using the bathroom. 5. Wi-Fi and TV – 2/5: The Wi-Fi speed was extremely slow, almost as if I was using the internet through a VPN. Many of the TV channels also showed a blue screen instead of functioning properly. 6. Service – 3–4/5: I did not interact with the staff very often, but the staff members I encountered left a generally good impression. 7. Location – 5/5: The location was very convenient for me. It is not far from the university, and there are nearby amenities such as McDonald’s and the Polaris complex, which were useful for grocery shopping. In addition, there is a tram station right nearby, so transportation was very convenient. Overall evaluation: For a short-term stay, this motel is not a bad option. I hesitated at first due to its relatively low reviews, but if you don’t mind a few minor downsides, I think this motel is reasonably worth the price.”

“The guys that work here honestly, deserve WAY more credit for what it's worth. They assist a very large majority of people within the community and provide a place to stay. Motel, fresh sheets, hot showers and clean rooms. A little out dated but you can't expect world class in places like this, but they do everything they possibly can to accommodate for their guests. I stayed in multiple rooms and had absolutely no issues with lack of cleanliness, I had fresh sheets and hot showers. Super thankful for Parkside Inn Motel!! Keep up the great work guys!!”
